St. George’s Community Garden

Workday 4-6-13 eSt. George’s Community Garden

St. George’s Community Garden goal is to promote community gardening, locally grown healthy produce, appreciation of nature and the outdoors, information sharing and community camaraderie. All gardeners are encouraged to donate a portion of their produce to individuals and organizations in the community that are interested in such donations. The Garden is open to any interested individual, family or group on a space available basis. 2013 is our fifth year of gardening and have expanded to 38 plots, including two for a home school group of children who are using one plot to grow native plants and the other for vegetables as part of their science classes.

Two plots cultivated by St. George’s parishioners are specifically raised to produces fresh fruits and vegetables to give to St. Matthew’s Community Resource Center.
